Torrhen Square

Dagmer Cleftjaw was a character I got a liking to in The Clash of Kings. He was loyal to Theon, adviced him and did his bidding.



Dagmer Cleftjaw was instructed by Theon to take Torrhen Square. And in time, so he did. It is my understanding he kept it, and still holds it. Any thoughts as to why? Why he did not leave it? Return to the Iron Islands? Do you think his forces have been reinforced?

Well, he´s an iron son, stubborn and prideful, maybe he considers that leaving Torrhen Square is a loss, maybe he hates Euron and there is no place for him in the Iron Islands now

I know he is not really an "important" character, but I would like to know more about how he think of Euron indeed. Or generally what makes him keep Torrhen? I can see closing it off is a heavy strike to the North and that it helps the Iron Born keep a hold in the North still. Would be awesome if we get to know more in the Winds of Winter. Even if it is not as I said "Important" in comparison to every other event.

I think he´ll be more important in the Winds of Winter, Asha and Theon are near, maybe he rescues them from Stannis´ army

That would be awesome. He cared for Theon alot, at least the attempt would be interesting.
